The mission of the Division of Institutional Research and Assessments is to coordinate institutional
assessment activities, to consult with schools and departments in developing and implementing assessment
plans and procedures, and to analyze institutional data.
Assessment and institutional research goals:
- Coordinate institutional assessment activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Consult with academic schools in the development and implementation of their assessment plans. Provide training and technical assistance in the following areas: developing/identifying student learning outcomes, selecting and developing assessment techniques, collecting and analyzing data, and using results to make improvements.
- Stay current on research literature and accepted practice in assessment and institutional research.
- Document assessment processes and serve as a clearinghouse for assessment information.
- Share information about assessment research and assessment activities conducted at other colleges.
