Clearance Requirement

Students attending JAWS require a SCI clearance with access to SI/TK. Students on PCS orders should coordinate a Transfer in Status (TIS) with their SSO prior to arrival. Students on TDY orders must have their Servicing SSO send a SCI visit certification to include recertify authority. Clearance information can be forwarded to JFSC SSO via JWICS message to SSO JFSCOL or via JPAS SMO code 617203. ALL STUDENTS CAN VERIFY CLEARANCE STATUS PRIOR TO CLASS START DATE VIA DATA ENTERPRISE SYSTEM (DES). SSO will provide SCI Read in/Out indoctrination to students who have a full and current adjudicated clearance with SCI eligibility reported in JPAS, but do not have a servicing SSO. Students who do not have the required SSBI investigation should submit their investigation paperwork immediately upon verification of acceptance to the school. Select Electives (U.S. Interagency, Challenges in Cyberspace and National Intelligence Community) requires a SCI clearance with access to SI/TK. SSO will provide SCI Read in/Out indoctrination to students who have a fully/current adjudicated clearance with SCI eligibility reported in JPAS, but do not have a servicing SSO. Clearance information can be forwarded to JFSC SSO via JWICS message to SSO JFSCOL or via JPAS Non-SCI SMO code 617206, SCI SMO 617203,or unclass fax 757-443-6035/46.
