Outreach

Various opportunities for Outreach are available during each 12-week class period. These include:

• Seasonal assistance initiatives such as Clean the Bay, Habitat for Humanity, and volunteering with the local elementary schools.
• Partnership with local churches to provide food and shelter for the homeless, as part of the city of Norfolk's Emergency Shelter Team (N.E.S.T.)
• Emergent or one-time assistance requirements
• Meals on Wheels with Sentara Assisted Living

The chaplain and chapel community also provide pastoral care through counseling, networking, and visits to those who are hospitalized or incarcerated.
