WELCOME
On behalf of the Commandant, faculty and staff of Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC) welcome to the Joint Interagency Operations Planning Exercise (JIOPX) Course. The focus of the JIOPX is on planning for interagency operations.
The two-week JIOPX Course is a certificate course that capitalizes on two existing courses – the ten-week Joint and Combined Warfighting School (JCWS) Joint professional Military Education Phase II (JPME II) and the one-week Joint Interagency Multinational Planner’s Course (JIMPC).
The JIOPX Course merges participants from non-DoD agencies into two-weeks of the ten-week JCWS JPME II course. This merger is during the eighth and ninth weeks of the JPME II course. The participation of non-DoD enriches the understanding of the interagency planning for both DoD and non-DoD student participants.
The JIOPX Course participants’ immersion into the JCWS JPME II course facilitates an effective interaction between DoD, other U.S Government Agencies, and Multinational students. The JIOPX Course expands the exposure of the JCWS students to other U.S. Government Agencies’ representatives, and addresses the concerns of other U.S. Government organizations.
